Advancing Skin Cancer Pathology With AI Image Analysis

Image analysis can be a painstaking process for skin cancer pathologists. Workloads are increasing, and the number of qualified pathologists is shrinking. New technologies are needed to relieve the pressure. Proscia, a Philadelphia-based software company, thinks their DermAI software could be part of the solution. DermAI has recently been put to the test in a validation study that analyzed over 13,000 images. We spoke with Nathan Buchbinder, Proscia’s CPO, to find out more.
