A round-up of new features and capabilities designed to accelerate pathology workflows and improve confidence in image reviews.

While much of the industry conversation around AI in pathology has rightfully centered on image analysis applications—which is why we’ve created and continue to expand the industry’s leading precision medicine AI portfolio—our vision at Proscia goes further.

We see AI’s true potential extending throughout the entire pathology workflow, far beyond applications for cancer detection and cell classification. Our goal is to integrate intelligence seamlessly into routine processes, working invisibly to enhance and automate the daily operations supporting image reviews.

The latest release represents a significant step toward making Concentriq® AP* intelligent to the core, with AI-native enhancements that address real workflow challenges faced by anatomic laboratories. We’ve also expanded interoperability and enhanced general user experience based on feedback from our customers. Here’s what’s new:

AI-powered serial section analysis: precision meets efficiency

Pathologists routinely compare serial sections from the same tissue block to correlate findings across H&E, IHC, and special stains—a critical step in delivering comprehensive image assessments. Our new AI-powered multi-slide auto-alignment feature transforms this traditionally manual, time-consuming process, delivering:

  • Automated Precision – Instantly align serial sections with exceptional accuracy, ensuring precise spatial correlation of tissue structures across multiple stains.
  • Synchronized Multi-Slide Review – Examine multiple slides simultaneously with synchronized panning, zooming, and rotation that maintains alignment across serial sections—even when deploying multiple AI applications.
  • Streamlined Workflow – Reduce manual alignment frustration and decrease turnaround times with more efficient assessments.
  • Image Flipping — Easily flip images in multiview to facilitate comparisons of tissue sections that were inadvertently flipped during slide preparation.

Multi-view, multi-AI, automatically aligned

Expanded interoperability & global accessibility

Concentriq AP is designed as a future-proof open platform that grows with your organization’s evolving needs. Our latest updates extend compatibility with industry-leading technologies and enhance global accessibility through:

  • Pramana DICOM Support: Pramana DICOM images can now be ingested and viewed, furthering standardization efforts across your enterprise imaging ecosystem.

  • Syngo Carbon Archiving and Retrieval: Seamlessly archive whole slide images to Siemens Healthineers Syngo Carbon and retrieve back into Concentriq AP as needed, optimizing storage costs and image lifecycle management.

  • Expanded Localization: Concentriq AP now supports Czech and Slovak languages, accessible via the user menu’s Preferences section—part of our commitment to serving pathologists worldwide.

User experience improvements for day-to-day efficiency

Small improvements can make a big difference in the daily workflows of pathologists and laboratory technicians. As part of our ongoing commitment to continuous user experience optimization, here are a few highlights of recent enhancements.

  • Streamlined Slide Access: Open a slide’s primary image directly in the viewer by clicking its filename in the Image Management worklist, reducing clicks and saving valuable seconds.
  • Enhanced Annotations Visibility: Quickly identify slides with annotations via clear visual indicators on both the main slide tray and mini-slide tray.
