The United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP) Annual Meeting is always a standout—a forum for trading the latest insights, engaging with the Concentriq community, and enjoying time with our team.
This year’s event was no exception. Digital pathology and AI took center stage as the focus on precision medicine was stronger than ever. We left feeling inspired and invigorated by the momentum, especially on the heels of our newly-announced $50M in funding.
So, what stood out most? Our team shares key takeaways from their time in Boston below.
In 2025, digital pathology=pathology
Pathologists could clearly see the writing on the wall. In less than three years, exclusively signing out cases with the microscope will be a thing of the past.
Discussions this year firmly shifted from if digital pathology adoption would happen to how fast it will occur. There was also a lot more talk about which vendors and AI applications would deliver benefits—today and tomorrow.
On the topic of tomorrow, precision medicine was increasingly seen as the long-term value driver. Institutions are recognizing that AI-driven pathology can lead to much more than quality and efficiency gains. It is enabling a new wave of diagnostics that will help match more patients with the best treatments, faster.
It’s probably not surprising that scalability was top of mind for many of the executives with whom we met. They need a platform that can handle high-throughput workflows and sit at the center of a complex ecosystem as they look to position themselves for the future. -Nathan Buchbinder, Chief Strategy Officer
USCAP attendees were eager to discuss AI-driven pathology
Concentriq is the trusted platform for AI-driven pathology
We gave a record number of demos this year. Unsurprisingly, pathologists were excited to see the many ways Concentriq is powering AI-driven pathology—from its expanding precision medicine portfolio and multi-AI workflows to the capabilities we’re weaving into its core.
Many pathologists were also drawn to the platform’s interoperability, enterprise scalability, and usability. This was tremendously validating. These pillars have been central to Concentriq since day one and have become even more critical as the pathology ecosystem has grown. Just look at all the innovation we saw from companies like MUSE Microscopy, Bioptimus, and Pictor Labs. Pathologists want to leverage these developments, reinforcing the importance of an interoperable enterprise platform that can seamlessly bring them into the workflow.
If I had to sum it up, USCAP 2025 provided an opportunity for pathologists to see firsthand why Concentriq is trusted by major diagnostic laboratories and on track to diagnose 8M patients this year. And I really enjoyed getting to show them how it can help them to realize the future of pathology. -Amanda Coble, Senior Director of Product, Clinical

Unifying the partner ecosystem
Everywhere you turned, it felt like one of our partners was there. They weren’t just exhibiting at their booths. They were also delivering presentations at our booth (Visiopharm, Owkin, Ibex, AWS, Pramana, and Siemens Healthineers) and featuring Proscia customers at seminars they hosted (Agilent Technologies and Siemens Healthineers).
Each of these sessions had great takeaways, and I encourage you to check out the recaps my colleagues and I shared on LinkedIn. Together, the talks formed a master playbook for going digital at scale. Each partner showcased the unique value they bring to the ecosystem—whether through AI-driven workflows or high-performance deployment models. Our customers brought it full circle, sharing the real-world impact they’re achieving with Concentriq at the center of it all.
A big thank you to all of our partners for the strong collaboration, not just at USCAP but all year long. -Stephan Fromme, Head of Strategic Alliances

Congratulations to our award winners
We’re fortunate to count so many digital pathology pioneers as part of the Concentriq community. They are the trailblazers transforming patient care, and we consider it a privilege to help them achieve their goals. I dare say this is the most rewarding–and inspiring–part of my job.
We celebrated some of their most notable accomplishments in a special way. On Monday evening, we hosted an intimate dinner where we honored three standout leaders with inaugural Proscia Awards. I’m excited to congratulate our winners:
- Visionaries Award – Dr. Welch, Chief Medical Officer, PathGroup
- Innovations Award – Dr. Ahmad, Managing Director, Pathology Division, Spectrum Healthcare Partners
- AI Pioneer Award – Dr. Coco, Laboratory Medical Director, CellNetix
Taking pathology digital is no small feat—it involves rethinking workflows, overcoming institutional inertia, and ensuring that technology adoption delivers measurable outcomes. Our award winners have laid a blueprint for this transformation and are demonstrating the impact it can deliver.
As digital pathology adoption accelerates and the ecosystem matures, moments like those shared at our dinner validate digital pathology is quickly becoming pathology. Not to mention, the gathering was also a wonderful opportunity to enjoy great company and recharge after a bustling kick-off day at USCAP. -Arun Ananth, Chief Commercial Officer
