Proscia, has released DermAI, the first in its series of artificial intelligence (AI)-based applications that will advance the practice of pathology. A module within Proscia’s Concentriq platform, DermAI uses AI algorithms and deep learning to prescreen and classify skin biopsies. The application helps to reduce costly diagnostic errors and improve overall laboratory quality and efficiency. In turn, this enables labs to overcome the ongoing decline in the number of pathologists entering the field, while still keeping up with increasing demands for faster patient biopsy turnaround.
